01Who we are

House of Style Vip Barber Shop INC (“House of Style,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a barber shop at 2785 Cruse Rd NW, Suite #7, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30044, and the website at housestylevipbarber.com.

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, book an appointment or contact us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and to the bookings and enquiries we handle through it.

02Information we collect

Information you give us

When you book an appointment or get in touch, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Appointment details — the service you selected, your preferred barber, and the date and time you chose
  • Anything you choose to tell us in a message, a booking note or a request — for example a style preference, an allergy or a sensitivity you want your barber to know about

We ask for the minimum we need to hold your appointment and reach you about it. You do not have to give us anything else, and we do not require an account to walk in.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records some technical information when you visit:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Device type, operating system and browser
  • Pages you viewed, links you clicked and how long you stayed
  • The site or advertisement that referred you to us

This is collected through cookies and similar technologies. See Cookies & tracking for what runs on our site and how to turn it off.

Payments

Payment for services is taken in the shop, not on this website. We do not collect or store card details online, and we do not currently take deposits or prepayment through the site.

03How we use it

We use the information described above to:

  • Book, confirm, reschedule and manage your appointment
  • Send you appointment confirmations, reminders and changes
  • Answer your questions and respond to your enquiries
  • Keep a record of the services you have had, so your barber can pick up where you left off
  • Run, secure and improve our website
  • Measure how our advertising performs, and show you relevant ads — only where you have agreed to tracking
  • Send you offers and news about the shop — only if you have asked to receive them
  • Meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade your contact details to anyone for their own marketing.

04Text and WhatsApp messages

If you give us your mobile number when booking, we may message you about that appointment — by text, by WhatsApp, or in the chat you booked through (Facebook Messenger or Instagram): a confirmation, a reminder (usually 24 hours and 2 hours before), a change or a cancellation. These are service messages tied to the booking you asked for. You can turn appointment reminders off when you book, or by telling us at any time.

We will only send you promotions, offers or marketing — including a message reminding you to book your next visit — if you have separately agreed to receive them. Agreeing to marketing messages is never a condition of booking an appointment or receiving any service.

To stop messages, reply STOP to any text or WhatsApp message. You can also tell us by phone, by email or in person, and we will honor it. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

Carrier note

We are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

05Social media messaging

We maintain business accounts on Instagram, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. If you message us on any of these, we receive your message together with the name or profile information the platform shows us, so we can reply and help you book, change or cancel an appointment.

We may use an automated assistant to read incoming messages and answer common questions or offer appointment times, particularly outside business hours. A team member can review that conversation and take over at any point. We do not use the content of your messages for advertising, and we do not combine it with other data about you beyond what is needed to manage your appointment.

Each platform is also a data controller in its own right for how it handles your message before it reaches us. See Meta's Privacy Policy for Instagram and Messenger.

06Email

We use your email address to confirm bookings and reply to you. If you opt in to our newsletter or offers, every marketing email we send will include an unsubscribe link, and we will act on your request promptly. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop appointment confirmations and reminders, which you need in order to keep your booking.

07Cookies & tracking

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them, and similar technologies such as advertising pixels, for the purposes below.

Strictly necessary

These make the site work — holding your booking selections, remembering your cookie choice and keeping the site secure. They cannot be switched off.

Google Maps

Our Visit section embeds a Google Map of our location. Loading that section of the page sends your IP address and device information to Google, under Google's own Privacy Policy. Like the map on most business websites, this loads as a normal part of the page rather than being gated by the cookie banner below, since it shows core information — where we are — rather than tracking your activity for advertising.

Analytics

Analytics cookies tell us which pages people visit and how they move through the site, so we can improve it. The data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. No analytics tool is running at the date above; if we add one, it will only load after you accept analytics cookies.

Advertising — Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel, a tracking technology provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram). When it is active, it records actions you take on our website — such as viewing a page, starting a booking or completing one — together with your IP address, browser and device information, and shares them with Meta.

We use it to measure whether our advertising works, to show our ads to people who have visited our site, and to reach people with similar interests. Meta may combine this information with data it already holds about you if you have a Facebook or Instagram account.

To learn how Meta handles this data, see Meta's Privacy Policy and its explanation of how it uses information from other websites. You can control ad personalisation in your Meta ad preferences.

Your choice

When you first arrive, we ask whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. We do not run the Meta Pixel or any analytics tracking until you accept. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link in our footer, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal.

Not yet installed

As of the date above, the Meta Pixel is not running on this site. This section is written so it is accurate from the day it goes live. If plans change and the pixel is never added, delete this sub-section — do not describe tracking you do not use.

08Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the following, and only as far as needed:

  • Our booking and scheduling provider, which stores your appointment and sends confirmations and reminders on our behalf
  • Our payment processor, if you pay or leave a deposit online
  • Meta Platforms, Inc., through the Meta Pixel, where you have accepted advertising cookies
  • Analytics and hosting providers that keep the website running and tell us how it performs
  • Professional advisers such as our accountant or lawyer, where necessary
  • Law enforcement or regulators, where we are legally required to, or to protect our rights, our staff or the safety of others
  • A buyer or successor, if the business is sold or reorganised — your information would remain subject to this policy

We require our providers to protect your information and to use it only for the service they provide to us.

09How long we keep it

We keep appointment and client records for as long as you remain a client and for three years after your last visit, so we can honour your history and handle any dispute. Financial records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. If we add website analytics, that data is kept no longer than the provider default, currently 14 months.

When we no longer need information, we delete it or render it anonymous.

10Security

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information, including access controls, encrypted connections to our website, and reputable providers for booking and payments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by Georgia's breach notification law and any other law that applies.

11Your choices & rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
  • Delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law
  • Stop marketing by email or text
  • Withdraw your cookie consent at any time

Email us at renejimenezvip24@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp at (770) 289-2222. We will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

12California residents

The California Consumer Privacy Act gives California residents specific rights over their personal information. Its obligations apply to businesses above certain thresholds, and as a single-location barber shop we fall below them.

Even so, we extend the core protections to every client, wherever you live: the right to know what we collect and why, the right to access it, the right to have it corrected or deleted, the right to opt out of targeted advertising, and the right not to be discriminated against for asking. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising in exchange for money.

To exercise any of these rights, use the contact details in Contact us.

13Children

We cut children's hair, and we welcome them. Appointments for a child must be booked by a parent or legal guardian, and the contact details we collect are the adult's, not the child's.

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them online. If you believe a child has given us information through our website, contact us and we will delete it.

15Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top always shows the current version. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will make it clear on the site, and where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent again.
